Journey in Kosovo

We started our trip last Tuesday. We left Budapest at 6 o’clock and started to go to Kosovo. The bus trip took about 12 hours, we spent the night on the bus. The bus arrived at Peja at 7 o’clock in the morning. When we arrived first we went to the school to meet the children and after that we went to our host families. We spent a few hours in the houses and then we went to the city. Here we had dinner and had good fun.
On Thursday first we went to the mayor of Peja. Here we spoke with him and after that we went to an old building. It was beautiful. We could see the portholes the rooms and a man spoke about Kosovo’s history. In the afternoon we went to the school and we did workshops. Next we went to play bowling. It was very funny and we enjoyed it a lot. First we were not good but at the end of the game we became good players.
On Friday we went to a hill. The journey to the top of it took about 1 hour. Here we had lunch and after lunch we went sledging. We enjoyed it and we took a video when we slipped down from the hill. This evening I and my friend Péter spent the night at Gem’s house.
On Saturday afternoon we went bowling again. At second time we were more skillful. We spent a few hours here but afterwards we had to go because our bus which took us back to Hungary started at 7. We had our last lunch here and went back to Hungary.

I think this trip was very good, I enjoyed it a lot. Kosovar people are very friendly and if I can I will go back to Kosovo.

Visiting Kosovo

First day:

I’d like to say something about staying in Kosovo. First we had a lovely welcome at the bus station. Then Naime came and took us to her home. Here we could speak with our family, and then we went to the school to meet Egzon and Kelmend. We could sit in an Albanian grammar lesson, and we could enjoy the Kosovar’s hospitality. Then we went to our host’s home, and went back to school and tried out some workshops. Finally we could go home. My host family were very awesome. They knew I have birthday, and they just took me to a restaurant, and I could taste some national food of Kosovo. After that we went home, and I got a birthday cake at home. It was delicious and I want to say thank you for it.

Second day:

After I got up we went to school to prepare for the intercultural evening. When we ended the rest of the work we played some games. I really enjoyed it because everybody was friendly. We went home for our cookies and supplies for the intercultural evening. The evening went off well and I thought everybody did their best.

Third day:

On Friday we went to the local mountains, to mountain Rugova. The trip took a lot of time. We went to a restaurant, and here Naime and her class served their homemade traditional food. Then we walked down to Boge, and here I could sled with Előd meanwhile Naime and her class went up to a house. We got some injuries but we enjoyed it very much.

Fourth day:

We went to the local bowling centre with the Kosovar children. I won a match against Előd. And then we ate some pizza. Then we went to a local confectionery. Finally we packed our suitcases and went to the bus station. Everybody was there and everybody wanted us to come there again.

We had a good time in Kosovo.
